Leverstock Green Cricket Club 3rd XI v Elstree on Sat 09 Jul 2011 at 1pm
Leverstock Green Cricket Club Won by 19 runs

Match report Highlights: C Murton 33, G Tucker 31, M Parkes 31; B Baney 4-62.

A 19-RUN win victory for Leverstock Green 3rd XI at home to Elstree was the only bright spot on a Herts League Saturday which saw the club's other three teams taste defeat.

Chris Murton, Gareth Tucker and Mike Parkes all scored 30-plus as Levy 3s battled through testing batting conditions to post 178 all out at Parmiter's School.

Despite a late rally by Elstree's lower order, it was a target which proved enough for 30 points - thanks, in the main, to 4-62 from Brett Baney's marathon 20-over spell and a welcome 3-23 cameo from slow left-armer Graham Evans.
