Match report Lev. Green U15 triumph v Tring who are top of the U15 A league . A first I believe. Tring won the toss and decided to bat. Opening bowlers Rory Fleming and Daniel Oliver both bowled their full compliment of 4 overs as a reward from their skipper for bowling a great length. D'Olly as he is fondly known in the team really kept the presuure on the Tring openers with figures of 1 for 11. The Tring batters gradually built a strong score of 131 with excellent scores of 50* from Partner and 37 from Bastin. Good spells from Wasim Saleem and Lewis Glasscoe kept the lid on the Tring score at a later stage. In reply Connor Church looked in excellent form in the early overs for the Green. George McCausland gradually got some strike and warmed up with some boundaries. When McCausland retired not out on 51, Sam Revell soon established himself with a 6 over extra cover off his 2nd ball and Church (37) and Revell (15*) helped move the score towards target. In the end Green passed Tring's total with 10 balls to spare and the jubilation was there to be seen for the 7 wicket victory. The coach has been saying all season that this team are good enough to beat every team in the League if they turn up. And tonight.....they most certainly did against a full strength Tring side. Congratulations.
