Match report LUKE ROBERTS came just a couple of strikes short of engineering an unlikely victory for The Green at home to Finchley in a run chase which only looked 'on' once he'd hit two sweet sixes with a couple of overs remaining.

A steady opening partnership between Dayle Littlejohn and Lewis Koch had Levy a little behind the rate, but nothing that couldn't be recovered with good batting lower down.

Sadly, the only middle-order operator to seriously contribute was Alex King (38), before Roberts' clean hitting brought Green within five runs of Finchley's 223 all out.

Teenage prodigy Chrishan Casey was the pick of the Green attack, picking up 2-40 - while Sam Revell preyed on the lower order with three late dismissals.
