Leverstock Green Cricket Club Lost by 49 runs

Match report LGCC Under-11 squad closed a somewhat rain-affected 2016 season with a tough game at home to Old Albanian - who went on to win the match with a strong batting performance.

Green lost as many as seven wickets, many of which early on, to hamper what could have been an otherwise challenging target score.

Cole Seggery - who later claimed three stumpings - top-scored with nine while Arjun Odedra batted well for his seven. Luca Mesiano did well to preserve his wicket on debut for the 11s.

George Sharman kicked off the innings with eight, supported well by Chloe Cooper - who was the pick of the Levy bowling attack later in the game.

Dalton took a good caught & bowled and Sharman picked up a clean-bowled to add to the Seggery stumpings - those wickets falling to Harry Walker, Odedra and Cooper.

Jemma Cardy bowled with her customary control and Mesiano bowled with promise.

Thanks to all players and parents for their commitment and flexibility throughout the summer.

The Under-11s end with a record of three wins and three defeats, with three other games falling foul of weather conditions.
