Match report PERFECT weather provided a summery backdrop to the Under-10 game between Rickmansworth and Leverstock Green - who gave a debut to Alfie Quick.

A large number of wides and no-balls bowled by Green helped Ricky on their way to a total of 279-2 from their 16 overs.

A good catch at square-leg by Alfie off the bowling of Harry Woodard accounted for one of the two wickets to fall, with Lewis Cooper's caught-and-bowled making up the other.

The most economical bowlers were Ben Orriss, whose two-over spell costing just one run included a maiden, and Tayla Walker who conceded just two runs from her 12 balls.

Highlights of the Levy reply with the bat included a pair of unbeaten 11s from both Rushil Dodhia and Ben, with Harry adding a useful nine.

Ultimately, though, Green's loss of extra wickets cost them a shot at victory as Rickmansworth's target proved out of reach.
