IN a change to recent years, LGCC's annual Dinner & Dance event (which includes the presentation of the season's senior cricket awards) will take place this year at the nearby independent hotel Aubrey Park, located along the country lane towards Redbourn.

All club members are very welcome indeed to this get-together, with the opportunity to secure places at this prestigious occasion being made with a greater notice period than has been the case before.

Organisers have taken on members' feedback from previous years about all aspects of the evening and have chosen to try a different venue.

With ever-increasing marquee hire and food costs to host at The Green, in order to avert an increase in ticket prices, a change of venue has been agreed and it is hoped this will further encourage attendance at the club's showpiece evening.

Places remain at £45 per person and include a welcome drink, three-course meal and a disco with partying late into the night.

Arrivals are from 7pm, with late carriages. LGCC's clubhouse bar will be open for pre-event drinks from 4pm on the day of the event. The dress code is smart casual (no trainers, please).
