Match report LGCC bowed out of the Herts County T20 trophy at Hemel Town's Heath Park in the group semi-final - but not after running Premier Division Hertford close with an encouraging early season performance.

Asked to bat first by the opposition, Green skipper Lewis Koch took on the run-scoring duties largely by himself with a fine knock of 53.

Levy's total read 74 in the 12th over when the skipper was dismissed, yet the middle and lower ordered could only add less than 50 in the remaining overs as they ended up posting 122-8.

On a tricky surface, the run-a-ball target looked further away for Hertford when Charlie Mahanama took two early wickets - both caught at short cover by Abbas Ali.

But Green kept bowling at least one four-ball per over and the opposition were in no mood to pass up the chance to keep up with the required run-rate.

Koch's dead-eye run-out and two wickets for Adam Thomas weren't enough to prevent Hertford steering themselves home with nine balls to spare for a four-wicket win.
