FROM the depths of a frozen January emerges the merest hint of light at the end of the winter tunnel - yes it's the publication of the Saracens Herts League fixtures for summer 2016!

The game-arranging scientists have split the atoms once again to compile the biggest county cricket league fixture list in the country.

And The Green will once again be represented by an impressive four Saturday XIs - with the hope that the 'Fantastic 5th XI' can not only be selected this summer but actually take to the field in action and make club history.

The promoted 1st XI begin at home to Hitchin in Division 1, while in Division 5A the 2nd XI are on the road to face Hitchin II.

It's a local start for the 3rd XI, away to Abbots Langley III in Division 9B. The 4th XI, in Regional Division C West, will play host to Abbots Langley IV in the reverse fixture.

WINTER NETS 2016
A reminder to both senior and junior players that Winter Nets 2016 begin this Sunday, January 24, 5pm-6pm (please arrive no later than 4.45pm) at the Knox Johnston Sports Centre, Berkhamsted School (Kings Road, Berkhamsted HP4 3BG).

A weekly fee is payable upon arrival: £5 Adults, £3 Students / Under-18s.
