GRAHAM EVANS was the toast of Leverstock Green 3rd XI after his 94 - ably supported by Gareth Tucker's 76 - set the platform for the team's first win of summer 2016.
'Chuckle 1' got Levy's innings off to the perfect start, opening up with Connor Church (35), to fall six short of a century as the hosts posted 256-3 from their 50 overs against London Colney II.
In reply, wickets were shared around evenly with Ian Wallis stealing in to mop up the Colney tail by returning 3-6 from 7.1 overs as a 129-run triumph was secured despite rain interruptions.

LGCC 2s clamied a third straight victories to top the Division 5A table, making short work of Bentley Heath.
John Mathew's 3-25 from his 10 overs was the pick of the Green bowling as hosts Heath were bundled out for 96.
The margin of victory was a maximum 10 wickets after Harry Blagden hit a maiden half-century for Levy; his 53 not out backed up by an unbeaten 35 from fellow opening bat Ben Parkes.

AND there was also a place at the top of the table for LGCC 1st XI, after they swerved the showers to beat Northwood - who surprisingly chose to bat first - by seven wickets at The Green.
Kyle Claxton's sparkling 54 not out was the clear highlight as Levy chased down Wood's 111. Nahim Iqbal batted sensibly for his 21 not out to help steer Green home, after Adam Thomas (3-17) and Dayle Littlejohn (3-14) had accounted for six of the ten opposition wickets to fall.

THE fact LGCC 4s took 10 points away from a rain-soaked Aldenham was largely due to a stoic 30 not out from Mike Parkes, which helped eat up many of the first 40 overs of the contest.
Levy's target of 116-8 was a modest one, but Aldenham's charge on the chase was halted by the wet weather when they were well placed at 64-0 from nine overs.
Green openers Mike Downes (26) and Dave Young - with a 28 straight off the Chinese menu - helped ensure that the innings lasted long enough to attract the inclement conditions to Aldenham's ground.
