YES it's nearly here! Cricket Week 2017 - the club's 40th anniversary of the event - will take place here at The Green between Monday July 24 and Friday July 28.

With plenty of post-match evening activities and entertainment currently being planned by Cricket Week supremo Mike Parkes along with the club's Cricket Committee, LGCC is pleased to announce a selection of classic Cricket Week fixtures for the delight of all those coming to The Green.

President Brian Coulshed kicks off the week in traditional style by bringing together All The President's Men on Monday July 24, then it's an Old Watford Town CC XI - led by Mark Pearson - on the Tuesday.

A Hemel Town CC Legends team will grace The Green on the Wednesday before the much-vaunted visit of St. Albans West Indian CC on Thursday.

The final Cricket Week fixture - on Friday July 28 - will be played between LGCC XIs past and present with a Cricket Week team of current players taking on a line-up of ex-Green greats.

Junior fixtures are being planned for each of the first three Cricket Week mornings...more on those in the coming weeks, too.
