IF you want to see club legend Dave Tyson looking lovingly at another cup winner's medal - as he's pictured doing in this photo from September 2015 - then you'd better get to The Green next Sunday, August 13, to support LGCC when they take on Broxbourne for a place in 2017's Readers Herts County Trophy final.

Levy host fellow Herts League Division One club Broxbourne at The Green, with the 50-over last-four tie set for a 1pm start.

The two teams are competing for a place in the September 3 showpiece final against either Knebworth Park or Hemel Hempstead Town.

After a first-round bye, Green have seen off Redbourn and Old Elizabethans to reach the semi-final stage of a competition they famously won on the final ball of the match two years ago against Abbots Langley.

Broxbourne, meanwhile, will arrive at LGCC courtesy of wins over Chipperfield Clarendon, Bushey and Kings Langley.

The two sides have been very evenly-matched over recent seasons and a good-spirited contest is expected - however key to victory could be a large contingent of LGCC supporters.
