MONDAY MAY 17 - LGCC BAR LATEST: A Welcome Message As We Welcome You Back Inside!

17 May 2021

WITH Monday May 17 marking a chance to open our clubhouse doors and welcome you back inside at The Green, here's an update direct from the club's Bar Chairman Graham Evans...

I would like to pass on my thanks for your continued support of the club during the outdoor-only reopening phase at The Green - and your patience when visiting the bar.

We know it's not perfect but we are trying to provide as good a service as we can.

Thankfully we can move to the next stage of lockdown easing now, which means accepting members and their guests back into the main clubhouse.

It will still be table service only, with a maximum of 36 seated. Masks must be worn on entry, exit and when visiting the toilets, please.

Please continue to sign in or scan the QR code on arrival.

We will be looking to open as many nights of the week as possible, and with this in mind we are looking for new recruits to the volunteer bar rota to bolster our numbers. So if anyone fancies joining the ranks please let Justine Rich or myself know and I can arrange some training. Discounted drinks are available to all those who give time to the club as a bar volunteer.

Thanks to those of you who have given up their time over the last few weeks.

We are introducing real ale back on draught (currently St Austell Tribute) so please do come in and help us empty the barrel! Let me know if you have a favourite you'd like us to put on. Shipyard Ale is also back on now, with the relatively new-to-range Beavertown Neck Oil having become a staple for many already.

Unfortunately the brewery have decided to help us out by raising their prices to us so we will be forced to raise bar prices in the next week but I will keep this to a minimum.

Thanks again for your continued support.

Hope to see you soon,

Graham
