WHAT'S ON AT LGCC - AUGUST 2022: Live Music, Tea@TheGreen, Yoga & Relaxation, Banjo Bash And Much More...

04 Aug 2022

WHETHER you're into live music, quizzing, a cup of tea & a chat, Yoga & relaxation, or just a drink with some friends, there's something for everyone during August at the cricket club at the heart of its community.

Before we list upcoming events, can we please thank all members for supporting the club during Cricket Week. Whether you were here for one day, all days, or somewhere in between, we hope you enjoyed the vibe and the strong sense of community that the post-cricket evening activites generated.

Here's August's line-up then...

TUE AUG 2 - CHRIS LAWRANCE'S BANJO BASH: First Tuesday of every month; Bar 8.00pm, Music 8.30pm
Enjoy the delights of music played in the traditional & bluegrass way by Chris Lawrance and his collection of musical maestros from around the local area.

Some of the finest fiddlers and string pluckers in the region descend on The Green for an old-time music session once a month - and it's always worth a listen.

The gang usually get going from around 8.30pm at the latest. Come along and have a drink while you sit back and enjoy the toe-tapping sounds.

THU AUG 4 & WEEKLY - YOGA & RELAXATION SESSION, every Thursday; Yoga 6.30pm, Bar 8.00pm
Come along and enjoy a relaxed yoga session under the watchful eye of a qualified tutor, every Thursday evening inside the LGCC clubhouse.

FRI AUG 5: LIVE MUSIC AT LGCC - Scam 69...back by popular demand!

They rocked LGCC's clubhouse back in February, so we're delighted Scam 69 are paying us a return visit this Friday evening.

Arrive by 8.00pm for a start soon afterwards. And while it's not a ticketed event and it's free of charge to members and their guests, our advice is to arrive early to claim your spot as it's expected to be a busy one.

Playing a mix of New Wave, punk, rock and other genres of the time, Scam 69 are a local band who play across the south-east of England and beyond.

Managed by friend of LGCC Pete Munroe, they're back at The Green for a second raucous night of drums, guitars & vocals.

Don't miss out. See you this Friday!
