LEVERSTOCK GREEN CC is celebrating county success once again as its Under-12 yesterday (Sunday July 13) won the Herts Junior League County Cup.

 Green defeated Wheathampstead earlier in the week to reach the HJL 'Finals Day' - this year staged at West Herts CC.

 After defending 108 by 18 runs to edge past Bishop's Stortford in the semi-final, a tense final against Harpenden saw Levy post 96 and then restrict Harpenden to just 69 with some top-notch bowling and fielding.

 LGCC's 12-man squad lifted the winner's shield late in Sunday evening, then returned to The Green for further celebrations.

 Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff on an incredible achievement!

And we look forward to marking it again at our Junior Awards on the afternoon of Sunday September 7.
