AS we move into the Autumn & Winter period, those of you who've recently visited The Green will have seen the completion of the first of our off-season projects: the extension of the patio around the front and (nets) side of the clubhouse.
It is a reminder that the club will continue to make capital investments that enhance the enjoyment of members, their family & friends when spending time at our precious community hub.

SATURDAY SOCIAL - TODAY! SAT OCT 18 (6.00pm): Jerk 'n' Jam 2
BACK by popular demand after great vibes in early September, Jerk 'n' Jam 2 gives you a chance to enjoy delicious Caribbean food while the sounds of the islands linger long into the evening.
Once again, fellow club member Ashley Aimakhu and friends will be serving up some seriously tasty treats at great value.
Bring family & friends along; the whole LGCC community is welcome for a chilled-out time at The Green, as we come together once again for a Jerk 'n' Jam session.

SUN OCT 26 (4.00pm approx): 100 CLUB MONTHLY DRAW
A quick reminder that monthly prizes are drawn for our new 100 Club during the afternoon of the last Sunday of every calendar month.
Since its inception in the summer, we've had two (August & September) monthly draws so far, both offering an £80 top prize.
There will be a Christmas Super Draw on December 21, and then the annual Mega Draw at Cricket Week 2026 - to round off the first year of the club's new fundraising initiative.

SATURDAY SOCIAL - SAT NOV 8 (8.30pm): Live Music at LGCC with 'The Looters'
Our live music offering at The Green continues into Autumn as we welcome 'The Looters', performing live for us at The Green from around 8.30pm.
They play a blistering mix of rock, soul and classic pop from the past few decades - something for everyone, in short.
As with all our social events, all of the local community are welcome; so please feel free to bring along family and friends to enjoy an evening of smooth sounds with two of the most velvety voices you'll hear locally.

SATURDAY SOCIAL: SAT NOV 22 (7.30pm): Live Clubhouse Race Night At LGCC
Join us for a fun evening's horse-racing action via video.
It'll adopt a similar format to the event held earlier this year, with full details to come in separate messages very soon!

WEEKLY, FORTNIGHTLY & MONTHLY REGULARS HERE AT LGCC
+ Every Tuesday, QiGong (TaiChi) session: 10.30am to 11.30am - £5 payable upon arrival
- Gentle, strengthening movements aimed at both beginners and the more experienced.
+ Every Thursday, Yoga & Relaxation session: 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start, ends 8.00pm
- Join a welcoming group under the guidance of a qualified instructor. Come along and enjoy a mixed ability relaxed yoga session under the watchful eye of a qualified tutor, every Thursday inside the LGCC clubhouse.
Mats are available to use should you not possess your own, and you'll get to enjoy like-minded company in a relaxing environment to help you fully tune in for best results.

+ Every second & fourth Thursday of the month, Tea @ The Green: 10.00am to 12noon (next one Thu Sep 11)
- A community-focused couple of hours for anyone living locally to sit and enjoy a cuppa and a chat while taking in the view across The Green. Volunteer-led and co-ordinated, LGCC offers its facilities throughout the year for this special community activity.
+ Every first Tuesday of the month, Chris Lawrance's Hootenanny: 8.00pm start
- A gathering of some of the finest musicians living locally & regionally, for a session of old-time and bluegrass favourites under the watchful string-plucking of maestro Chris. A great sound to tap along to over a drink!
+ Every first Sunday of the month, General Knowledge Quiz Night: 7.30pm start
- At £2 per person (cash prizes), it's a very cheap way to pit your wits against fellow LGCC members and their friends & family. The clubhouse and bar is usually open from 7.00pm.
+ Most Monday & Wednesday evenings, Darts teams
