AS 2025 draws to a close, there's still much to enjoy at The Green. 

Here's a summary and also detailed run-down on some of our latest headline events, with specific December & Christmas details to follow in the next What's On update.

SATURDAY SOCIAL - SAT NOV 8 (8.30pm): Live Music at LGCC with 'The Looters'
Our live music offering at The Green continues this weekend as we welcome 'The Looters', performing live for us at The Green - and getting underway by 8.30pm.

They play a blistering mix of rock, soul and classic pop from the past few decades; something for everyone, in short.

As with all our social events, all of the local community are welcome; so please feel free to bring along family & friends to enjoy an evening of solid gold sounds brought to you by regionally-renowned LGCC debutants 'The Looters'!

SATURDAY SOCIAL - SAT NOV 22 (6.30pm): Clubhouse Race Night At LGCC
Join us for LGCC's 'Clubhouse Race Night' - all the thrills & spills of horse racing without leaving Leverstock Green!

How so? Courtesy of our giant screen which will beam video pictures after everyone's had a wager and backed their favourite number.

And you can't just wait until the night itself to get involved...

Advance ticket purchase guarantees you entry and a racecard for a fiver. It also gives us a great early idea of expected numbers, so gather friends & family and book now via this link:

Note that horse ownership for the final race of the night will go under the auctioneer's hammer on the night in the clubhouse.

As for the races, you can bet on your selected horse on the evening in multiples of £1, with betting odds announced before the start of each race.

Like all social events here at the club, this is open to you as members - and also to your family & friends, whether they're members or not. Come and have a great time with us and get your Saturday night off to a flier.

SUN NOV 30 (5.30pm approx): 100 CLUB MONTHLY DRAW
A quick reminder that monthly prizes are drawn for our new 100 Club during the afternoon of the last Sunday of every calendar month.

Since its inception in the summer, we've had three (Aug, Sep & Oct) monthly draws so far, both offering an £80 top prize.

There will be a Christmas Super Draw on December 21, and then the annual Mega Draw at Cricket Week 2026 - to round off the first year of the club's new fundraising initiative.

WEEKLY, FORTNIGHTLY & MONTHLY REGULARS HERE AT LGCC

+ Every Tuesday, QiGong (TaiChi) session: 10.30am to 11.30am - £5 payable upon arrival
- Gentle, strengthening movements aimed at both beginners and the more experienced.

+ Every Thursday, Yoga & Relaxation session: 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start, ends 8.00pm
- Join a welcoming group under the guidance of a qualified instructor. Come along and enjoy a mixed ability relaxed yoga session under the watchful eye of a qualified tutor, every Thursday inside the LGCC clubhouse.

Mats are available to use should you not possess your own, and you'll get to enjoy like-minded company in a relaxing environment to help you fully tune in for best results.

+ Every second & fourth Thursday of the month, Tea @ The Green: 10.00am to 12noon (next one Thu Nov 13)
- A community-focused couple of hours for anyone living locally to sit and enjoy a cuppa and a chat while taking in the view across The Green. Volunteer-led and co-ordinated, LGCC offers its facilities throughout the year for this special community activity.

+ Every first Sunday of the month, General Knowledge Quiz Night: 7.30pm start (next one Sun Dec 7)
- At £2 per person (cash prizes), it's a very cheap way to pit your wits against fellow LGCC members and their friends & family. The clubhouse and bar is usually open from 7.00pm.

+ Most Monday & Wednesday evenings, Darts teams in league & cup action
- Check the website for home fixtures. Action starts around 8pm. All welcome along to support.
