THE team known simply as 'Twelve' took the Fun Sports Quiz & Curry Night crown, after eight gruelling rounds of enforced fun at LGCC HQ.

Twelve - so-called as they were made up of four regular 3rd XI players (see what they did there?) - took the prestigious trophy (which is still on order), pipping Under TV and Inter Minan, to name just two of other competing teams, to the Quiz Night honours.

Around £300 was raised on the evening hosted by quizmaster Richard Walker, with the culinary delights of Gill Coulshed keeping everyone well fed during the interval.

We should do it again during pre-season...
