TABLE-TOP OLYMPICS: Green's Gold!

02 May 2014

TEAM GREEN beat Team White to take the 'Table-Top Olympics' gold last night as two teams did battle across a range of board games.

It was a great way to spend a pre-season evening, with over 20 cricketers in attendance across the night, most of whom taking part in three-on-three mini-games spread between two teams each of nine contestants.

Aside from some truly tone-deaf humming, inventive word descriptions and the occasional expert wink being tiddled, the highlight of the evening wasn't Marc Simonds' last-gasp tiddlywinks win, it was his defeat to junior Becky Tyson at a game of Connect Four!

Thanks to all who supported the evening and also managed to bring along their Annual Subs.

+ The Saracens Herts League cricket season kicks off tomorrow (Sat May 3) for three of Leverstock Green's sides; it's a Preston double-header with the 1st XI away and the 2nd XI at home on The Green, while the 3rd XI are officially away to Abbots Langley 3s - but the game is being played at Parmiter's School. All teams would be delighted to receive support.
