THERE were convincing wins for Leverstock Green's 1st, 2nd & 3rd XIs on a red-hot May Saturday afternoon - while the 4th XI fell to defeat at home to Watford Town IV.
Kyle Claxton struck a near-faultless 95 for Dave Tyson's 1s who, asked to bat first, posted 200-4 on The Green - thanks also to a unbeaten half-century from Aussie Marc Simonds.

Ben Parkes hit 81 and David Coulshed an unbeaten 53 as Dayle Littlejohn's 2s made light work of chasing 134 away to Hoddesdon II. There were three wickets apiece for the skipper and Imran Iqbal, while Lee Littlejohn enjoyed a 100% catch rate to pouch three victims.

Gareth Tucker's 3s scored 97 for the second consecutive week, but this time it proved 12 too many for Harpenden Dolphins to chase down. 'Shotgun' Steve May's 4-18 proved instrumental in sinking the Dolphins.
