LEVERSTOCK GREEN CRICKET CLUB was saddened to learn of the recent death of Life Vice-President Frank Howard.

In paying tribute to Frank's contribution to LGCC, current club president Brian Coulshed said: "Frank was First-Team Captain when I joined the club in 1973.

"He worked very hard on the Management Committee and for the club in general - which was also well supported by his wife, Marie, who was Team Secretary for many years.

"Frank played throughout three decades before work moved him north to the Midlands.

"He thoroughly deserved his Life Vice-Presidency and Frank will be fondly remembered by a number of similarly long-serving club members."

Frank's funeral will take place at St. Michael's Church, St. Michael's Road, Widnes, Lancashire WA8 8TF.
