ORGANISERS of the VE Day 70th anniversary celebrations which took place at The Green last week would like to place on record their thanks for support from members.

Nearly £850 was raised towards the club furniture fund, and a splendid afternoon was enjoyed by many s LGCC took a moment to remember those who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy today.

Thanks once again to Gloria and her team for staging such a successful event.
