Kings Langley v Leverstock Green Cricket Club Under 14 (A) on Mon 17 May 2010 at 6-00pm
Leverstock Green Cricket Club Lost 7 wkts
Match report
LGCC U14s were put into bat but unfortunately got out through some poor shot selection at times. Wickets were sometimes gifted to Kings Langley too easily awith the best contributions from George McCausland 18 and Connor Graham 16 Not Out being little return for a below par team batting performance. The score of 67 looked like a mountain to defend. The LGCC bowling and fielding needed to be near perfect for a close game. There was no shortage of effort but the Kings langley batsmen waited for the short balls to pick their run scoring shots. The lesson from this defeat was that you must bat for all 20 overs to give yourself the best chance of victory.
