VETERAN Keith Glasscoe's stylish unbeaten 56 and 37 from Steve Murphy steered Leverstock Green 2s to a comfortable low-scoring victory - avenging last summer's hammering at the hands of fellow promoted side Hatch End.
At 38 without loss after five overs, having won the toss, Hatch End looked ready to set a giant target, but 35 overs later their innings lay in tatters at 124 all out.
Green seamer Imran Iqbal accounted for most of the visitor's top order, taking five for 69 from 18 overs' hard graft the searing heat. Left-arm spinner Graham Evans then helped himself to four dismissals - one courtesy of a blinding Tony Humphrey diving catch - for a parsimonious 12 runs off 10 overs.
Levy's reply always looked assured, once they'd recovered from the early loss of openers Humphrey and Az Shakoor.
Murphy and Glasscoe put on 63 for the third wicket, with Ben Parkes (14 not out) joining Glasscoe to seal a first home win of the summer.
