A BATTLE of fourth XIs went the way of hosts Luton Town & Indians, with Leverstock Green unable to break what proved a crucial 50-run last-wicket stand for their opponents.
Town reached 188 all out, with Levy bowlers George McCausland, Steve Wilson, Mike Roberts and debutant Vivek Seth all claiming two scalps apiece.
Green’s batting fell short of the 100 mark – 95 all out, in fact, the final total. Nick James’ middle-order 37 was the only notable effort with the willow as Luton ran out 93-run winners.
