Leverstock Green Cricket Club Lost By 46 runs

Match report An excellent display from both teams on a warm summers evening at the green . Langlebury batted first and amassed 281 - 4 from 16 overs . The green gave away 50 extras !! which was generous . Star man for Langlebury was Dhillon who top scored with 20 runs hitting 4 boundaries . Langlebury scored steadily throughout their innings with decent contributions from Alex & Amir also . The greens bowlers tried their hardest with Cameron start man with 2 overs 1 wicket for 3 runs .A great catch by Nathan at mid wicket also gave Robert his first ever wicket .Vasanth & Joe also bowled well . In reply the green made steady progress , after 8 overs we were 236 and maybe in with a chance of pulling off a surprise win . Rebecca with 12 runs was the start batter assisted by Cameron 7 runs . However , the green lost 3 quick wickets within 2 overs and the game was lost . Well played all and we look forward to the return at Langlebury .
