Berkhamsted III v Leverstock Green Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 30 Apr 2011 at 1pm
Leverstock Green Cricket Club Won by 1 wicket

Match report Highlights: M Lake 3-57, C Murton 87, G Tucker 56.
THESE two local rivals engineered a thrilling penultimate-ball finish at Castle Hill, with Leverstock Green III captain Mike Parkes guiding a selection of lower-order partners towards Berkhamsted III’s impressive target of 230.

Green 3rd XI run machine Chris Murton hit 87 to kick off the chase in fine style, but it wasn’t until number six Gareth Tucker (56) and Abbas Ali put on over 70 for the sixth wicket that Levy were back in the hunt.

Parkes’ undefeated 22 was aided by a useful 11 from Matt Lake – who’d earlier taken three Berko wickets with his off-spin – as the skipper and tail-ender Rory Allan scampered through for victory with one ball left.
