Leverstock Green Cricket Club Won by 30 runs

Match report Green won the toss and sensibly chose to bat on a cool April evening. An excellent start from George McCausland 43 and Connor Church 44*, who carried his bat meant that the Green's batsman could play around Church who glued the innings together. Cameos from Harry Walters 16 and Wasim Saleem 28, including 6 fours in a single over,enabled Green to reach a very respectable 151 for 6. In reply West Herts started strongly with both openers making runs, before the Green held on to some excellent catches from McCausland , Revell, Walters and McKay and a run out by Fleming and finished bowling well in tricky light. The pick of the bowling were the 2 overs from Wasim Saleem , with figures of 2 for 2 leading to a well deserved victory by 30 runs. Great participation from all team members.
