LEVERSTOCK GREEN might just have turned the corner this season after stopping a run of seven straight defeats with a high-scoring draw at Ampthill Town.

Sri Lankan Pradeep Basthian Koralage, who joined from Boxmoor this summer, had a day to remember with the ball. He took 6-44 in helping to restrict the hosts to 223-9 from their 53 overs.

Without anyone going on to score a half-century, Green’s batting all chipped in with useful knocks – in particular Ben Parkes, opening, impressed for his 35. It was left to Anjam Khan (30 not out) and Adam Thomas to steer Levy home with a final total of 190-8.
