BOVINGDON'S 254-7 proved 50-odd too many for Leverstock Green's 3rd XI to chase down - and they were finally all out leaving number six Gareth Tucker high and dry on 56 not out.

Matt Rance (48) and Dan Shimell (35) got Levy off to the required fast start given the required run-rate, but a lower-order collapse - aside from Tucker's 59-run ninth-wicket stand with Oli Sawyer - meant 202 was as near as Green got.

Sawyer had bowled well in two spells earlier in the afternoon to claim 4-55 from 14 overs. However second and third-wicket stands of 93 and 87 respectively for Bovingdon ensured Green were looking down the barrel of a giant target.
