Match report Part 1 of the tour and we were off to Eversholt. Eversholt is a picturesque ground and has the added benefit of a swimming pool and various other pretty attractions ! Anyway , we won the toss and inserted the opposition on a drying greenish track. Early indications not good , Eversholt 66-0 after 20 overs, enter Dayle Littlejohn who swung the ball both ways and was absolutely too good for most of their batters. The next 27 overs bowled yielded 10 wickets for only 42 runs. Skip Tyson 2-40 backed Dayle well. In reply , steady start as Connor and Mess took various singles with the odd boundary from young Connor who batted with style. Mess then patted back a c&b . KG and Connor made batting look fairly easy with a good steady partnership of 30 odd in a few overs. However, the two lefties could not decide if they should run a 2 down to fine leg, it ended with KG run out and Connor looking glum !!! Soon after this , Connor was out lbw , enter Tom who put away any bad ball with gusto. Sam Revell joined Tom and the two youngsters made Eversholt pay for sloppy fielding and poor bowling. Tom 40 not out and Sam 10 not out were a joy to watch. Well done all , Sandridge at HOME next week top of the league clash massive game.
