Match report Leverstock Green 1st XI somehow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Kings Langley. LGCC won the toss and asked their hosts to bat on a pitch that was still fairly damp from the previous day's rain. They were soon under pressure from some tight bowling from Adam Thomas and Luke Roberts, who were then backed up superbly by Dayle Littlejohn (5-37) and Kris Jadeja (1-19). From 89-8 though, Kings Langley recovered well and attacked the bowlers, taking the score to 163 before they were finally dismissed in the 51st over.

LGCC's reply started brightly, with Jadeja looking aggressive. He was bowled for 20 and Lewis Koch followed next ball. Kevin Seggery and Alex King then built a fantastic 108 run partnership that looked to have taken the game away from Kings Langley. King eventually fell for a terrific 81 (87 balls, 14 x 4, 1 x 6), and this wicket prompted a collapse of monumental proportions as LGCC buckled under the pressure of some tight bowling. 8 wickets fell for just 15 runs, and Kings Langley ran out winners by 14 runs.
