Leverstock Green Cricket Club Won By 5 runs

Match report Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes ! was the chant in the dressing room after we had defeated Preston by a narrow 5 runs margin. Highlights of the Green`s innings after we lost the toss and batted first - Kyle Claxton 40 a patient innings well constructed on a slow paced pitch. Tyso added 32 plus KJ `s 12 & BK`s 11 the only players to score over double figures. On pitches like these we need to show bit more patience chaps and build our innings. We bowled and fielded extremely well as all catches presented were taken. Marc Simonds (Simo) took 2 blinders at slip plus a top catch by gaffer behind the stumps off the dangerous Waters turned the game for the Green. BK as per normal was too clever for most of the Preston batters taking 7-57 from 18 odd overs. Backed by the ginger one, they formed a match winning partnership equally backed up by every team player in the field. Overall a fantastic team performance.
