Match report Highlights: B Klosterman 119 & 3-92, K Jadeja 71*, D Tyson 3-49

On a flat Levy Green track made for batting , the Green were inserted by the OO`s. Runs came a plenty as any short or width was punished suitabely by Brad as ordered by Plumbs in his pre match team talk. A brilliant 119 in 77 balls showed that taking wickets was not going to be very easy. Further excellent knocks from KJ 70 no & Nemo 24 no pushed the Green to a competitive 255 -3 dec from 45 overs. The OO`s batters made the chase look simple as R Lane once again enjoyed batting at the Green but on 96 he gave his wicket away which perhaps gave the Green some hope. However, regular contributions from the middle order all 20`s and the overseas SL player 48 made reasonably comfortable work of the chase. Sam Mazza kept well behind the sticks as stand in keeper plus we must remember that we were missing 3 x 1`s regulars but i thank all the guys that played and gave their best, that`s all we ask for. With 2 games remaining we must now look to finish in the 3 or 4th spot , remember last season we finished 3 from bottom , lets be proud of what has been achieved this season. Forward as one !
