Match report A friendly fixture against Aspley Guise provided a much needed run out for the Green. On a typical early April day with sun and a gentle cold breeze, the Green asked AG to bat. It appears that our tracks will be fairly flat this summer if early indications are correct. So , on a true flat pitch AG got off to a flier with 16 on the board after 2 overs. Sam Mazurek then took 2 quick wickets which were followed by a mid order collapse to leave AG at 53-5. New tassie Marc Simonds bowled well in cold conditions turning he ball with ease and also bowling the excellent wrong un ! Simmo finished with 5-24 from 6 overs and Guise set the Green 159 to win. A run out early doors left local stranded as a direct hit often does, C dog batted well then got out as did Simmo a few balls later. A middle order consolidation by woooo and tyso gave the green hope. Mr Wooo 33 struck some nice off side shots but he and tyso fell with a few overs of each other thus exposing our tail. Plumbs looked good but ran out of partners to close the game out. Note , we bowled 26 extras .
