Match report LGCC UNDER-11s enjoyed a second win in as many games after Potten End came within six runs of chasing down a useful looking target of 272-2.

Cole Seggery was in fine form with the bat for Green, making 36 alongside partner Tom Rumble - who scored three of his own and then kept wicket well as Seggery tried out his off-spin.

Salman Saleem (eight) and George Sharman (one) opened the batting for Levy and got the scoreboard ticking over before Oliver Dalton (three) and debutant Rehan Iqbal took to the crease as the total ticked along.

Arjun Odedra (six) and Harry Walker (two) were Green's third pair before Seggery & Rumble pushed the Potten End ask upwards of 270.

In reply, all of Green's octet bowled two overs apiece with Walker's 3-14 - including two stumpings by Seggery and a clean bowled - the pick of the wicket-taking.

Walker was also involved with Arjun Odedra - who conceded no runs from a maiden and wicket maiden - by fashioning the first run-out, while Odedra also threw down the stumps to catch a Potten End batsman short of his crease later in the innings.

Sharman's second over, round the wicket, was impressive, while Dalton kept his nerve under pressure to bowl the game's final six balls.

It was another fine team performance from the 11s, with all players contributing with bat, ball or in the field. Well done lads.
