Leverstock Green Cricket Club Lost by 95 runs

Match report AN impressive Langleybury Under-12s were always in control of a 20-over match which ended comfortably in their favour.

Three of their batsmen retired undefeated having reached 30, however there were plenty of Levy Green highlights both with the ball and in the field.

Skipper Troy Henry took 3-4 from his three overs, while Henry Heritage had a hat-trick chance having claimed two wickets in two balls - the first of which thanks to a tidy stumping by Tom Rumble.

Arjun Odedra, Dylan Jones and Oliver Dalton took the other bowling honours for their consistency.

Green found it hard to score against some very accurate Bury bowling, and could reach only 33 in reply. Henry top-scored with 12, and both Jemma Cardy and Odedra batted sensibly despite not adding greatly to the scoreboard.

With several of Levy's team playing up one and even two age groups in some cases, there was commendable effort and spirit against a good-natured Langleybury team, who may well progress to the county finals.
