Match report LGCC Under-12s made it two wins on consecutive days with another wide-margin victory - this time on a sunny evening at Bovingdon.

After Green skipper Harry Walker made the customary choice to field first having won the toss, Salman Saleem took three early wickets and Levy never looked back; even if they did serve up 20 wide deliveries across the 20 overs bowled.

Ten host's wickets were taken, with Gez Yates (3-8) joining Salman with a trio of dismissals while Jed Driver's accuracy collected him a brace of victims.

James Craig impressed with his leg-spin upon his debut for the U12s and deserved better than to go wicketless from three overs costing just ten runs.

A patient response with the bat - initiated by the studious opening pair of Ben Orriss and Lewis Cooper - came to life after Callum Pillay's excellent boundary when Ben Humphreys and James came together at the crease. Their carefree approach to quick singles and good shot selection earned them 15 not out and eight not out respectively to end any Bovingdon hopes of an unlikely victory given their target posted of 203-10.

In the end, a stylish unbeaten eight from George Hawes brought the innings to a close nearly 60 runs to the good.
