Match report COLE SEGGERY marked his LGCC senior debut by top-scoring with 18 as the Midweek B XI's mix of experienced cricketers and an abundance of budding teenage talent found Radlett too strong an opposition to contain at The Green.

The B team must wait and see if they're to be involved in the WO Fourteen14 Plate competition now, after falling some 84 runs short of Radlett's 174-4 at the end of the 14 eight-ball over contest.

Energetic fielding was matched by excellent line & length from Troy Henry, who took 2-30 from 24 balls delivered.

John Mathew was probably the pick of the Green bowlers, charging down the slope to record 1-31 - a neat catch effected by Josh Price, who later scored 15 not out - from his four overs; faring somewhat better than the wicketless Adam Thomas who went for 60 from his 32 deliveries.

The game was never really a contest with a chase always looking beyond Rory Fleming's largely youthful team, however the young players acquitted themselves well and seemed to enjoy the experience on an breezy and overcast night at The Green.
