Match report KEVIN SEGGERY’S diligent 94 and a stylish 70 from teenage boyband wannabe Jamie Wallis set up Leverstock Green 2nd XI for a third successive victory – this time having been asked to bat first at Rickmansworth II’s Park Road ground.
Another strong team performance from Green – which included another three victims for top wicket-taker Imran Iqbal and two dismissals for Wallis, who could do little wrong on the day – pushes the Bedmond Road second string up to third place in Division Six.
Nigel Merrett’s unbeaten 31 added to Ricky’s woes in the field as Green posted 252 for seven from their 53 overs. The hosts never built a big partnership when attempting the chase; the final wicket taken with more than five overs remaining.
