Match report AT 97 for six, Potters Bar 4th XI probably thought they'd done the right thing by inserting their Leverstock Green III hosts at Parmiter's School.
But they'd reckoned without a tremendous near-three figure unbeaten eighth-wicket stand between veteran Mike Wood - who ended 66 not out - and teenager Paul Insley, who carried his bat for a good-looking 19 in helping to bring up a total of 227 for seven.
Earlier, opener Chris Murton (33) and Stuart Evans (29) got things moving for Mike Parkes' side, but it took a middle-order 43 from Graham Evans to get Levy back on track before that fine unbroken stand.
Bar lost wickets steadily in reply to end all out on 141, four of which to Graham Evans' slow left-armers.
Seamer Chris Renwick and Mark Pearson both harvested two dismissals apiece as Green made it third time lucky in claiming a first 30 point-haul of the summer.
