Match report AN excellent fielding display, seamer Aaron Hollick's three for 15 and a fine 45 from Abbas Ali earlier in the evening were the main highlights of Leverstock Green Under-16's 21-run victory at Boxmoor.
Playing either side of a short but furious thundery shower, both sides were fully committed to the cause. Opener Ali batted sensibly to end up five runs short of a half-century, receiving good support from skipper Callum Pilgrim (21). There was also a useful unbeaten 18 from Luke Weston at the end of the Green innings.
In reply, tight early bowling from Paul Insley, Ali and Chris Pearson allowed Hollick to pick up three good wickets. With the pressure of the chase always applied, hosts Boxmoor fell over 20 runs short of Green's 126 in the end.
