Match report A deserved victory for the Green 2`s. Winning the toss was vital as several senior members required protection from the evening cold temperature predicted. Percy must hold the world record for layers worn during a cricket match. However, opening bowlers Jake and Shandy bowled extremely well, Jake taking 2 wickets for 26 the pick. Only Fetts offered any danger to the Green scoring 68 before he was run out by the ever agile Seggery. Ex Greenie Rubik`s batted well for his 25 no but the Green held their catches KG two good catches plus a Walker special as he was blown across the Green with ball in hand. Harps 185-7 from 53 overs. The Green made a steady start with Connor 31 and Seggs 62 batting well. A 1st wicket partnership of 52 set the Green up for victory.Alas , wickets fell at regular intervals , the Green at 108 - 4 needed to be patient and wait for the bad balls to score from. Pitch and Putt batted with patience and his 33 no helped by Skipper Tyson also 33 no won the game by 5 wickets and 1 over to spare. A great result for the team, good work lads.
