Match report A very enjoyable game between The Green 2`s and Chipperfield 2`s played on a flat belter at Bedmond Road. Chipperfield batted first and with the first 4 overs producing zero runs. However, some freebie 4 ball bowling and good striking from various batters helped the score onto 275 -4 from 53 overs. Still confident , the Green started well , and at 126-2 looked like producing a win. We needed big scores and JP provided that with an excellent 80, backed up by Murph 40. The middle order faltered though, losing wickets at key times. It was left to Matt & Abbas to show us how it`s done, in quick time Abbas scored 34 , Matt was steady and batting well , a win was unlikely but back on. Abbas was then caught and the game finished a draw, Chipps 19 point to our 5 shows how the points system is not right , 14 points difference is not right for 2 sides that wanted to win a game.
