Match report LGCC seamer Buddhi Attanayake took four wickets in as many balls to see off Abbots Langley in an unprecedented and extraordinary finish to this Heath Park Cup T20 semi-final clash, which saw him finish with miraculous figures of 6-17 from 3.4 overs.

And further, unbelievably, these four came on the back of a wicket for Troy Henry from the last ball of the previous over, to make five team dismissals in as many deliveries!

The big home crowd on a perfect summer's evening at The Green roared their approval for the Sri Lankan, who proudly waved the match ball in their direction as he left the field.

Already well behind the run-rate at 81-6 with five overs remaining, chasing Levy Green's 154-9, the stumps of Abbots' remaining batsmen were all broken in four remarkable match-clinching deliveries from Attanayake, one of Green's regular Saturday opening bowlers.

Troy Henry took two of the other visitor's dismissals, while Adam Thomas's mixture of cutters and seamers went for just 13 runs from four overs as it took Abbots until the ninth over to hit their first boundary with an asking rate of nearly eight-an-over from the off.

Earlier, on a dry and dusty used deck, LGCC recovered from the loss of their opening pair with Nahim Iqbal (37), Ridaah Friezlar (33) and Ben Goode (30) all batting sensibly.

Skipper Dayle Littlejohn - who had elected to bat first - helped the Levy target up to 155 with a breezy 18 near the end of the innings.

Only Aydan Connolly and George Agius posted scores of over 20 for Abbots as their run chase never really got close to the asking rate due to tight bowling from the hosts, who will face either Hemel Town or Berkhamsted in the Friday July 8 final.
