MIDWEEK CUP CRICKET: Home Quarter-Finals On June 1 & June 9

28 May 2017

MIDWEEK knockout cricket takes centre-stage at The Green this Thursday evening* (June 1) when LGCC host Radlett in the quarter-final of the Watford Observer Fourteen14 Shield.

Green are looking to go one better this summer, having been beaten by West Herts in the final of the same competition last summer, but after beating Met Police Bushey must now get past Radlett - who enjoyed a walkover against Chipperfield Clarendon in Round Two, having been seeded.

Eight days later, on Friday June 9, it'll be the second Cricket & BBQ Night of the summer when local rivals Hemel Hempstead Town visit The Green for a Heath Park Cup last-eight tie.

Hemel beat Boxmoor to reach the quarter-finals, with current HPC holders Levy Green having already defeated Northchurch to reach the same stage.

The other HPC quarter-final ties are:
Watford Town v Kings Langley
Little Gaddesden & Potten End v Langleybury or Berkhamsted
Dingwall v Abbots Langley.

Your support at either or both of these fixtures would be very welcome.

*Bottled drinks will be on sale on Thursday June 1 from outside the clubhouse until yoga finishes around 7.45pm. Thanks for your understanding. The bar will be open as usual throughout the duration of the Friday June 9 tie, with the BBQ firing up during the game.

AFTER losing in the final over to Abbots Langley, the Midweek B XI are awaiting news of their possible inclusion in the WO Fourteen14 Plate competition. More details to follow.
