IT'S time for the best week of the year here at The Green!

Cricket Week 2018 will run at LGCC from Monday July 23 to Friday July 27.

For those newer members unfamiliar with the concept, Cricket Week combines a senior cricket match on The Green every afternoon with some fun activities in the evening - always with an emphasis on getting younger members involved for at least some of the week and with a warm welcome to the LGCC clubhouse & bar for members and their family & friends at all times.

The bar will be open by 12noon every day and will remain open throughout the day into the evening thanks to the time given up by the club's volunteer bar staff.

The offer bottle for Cricket Week is Corona, 4 for £10.

MONDAY JULY 23
v Club Captain's XI, 1.30pm, preceded by Sponsors' Luncheon from 12.30pm
then
Club Captain's Quiz Bingo Challenge for all ages + Singalong-a-Levy (karaoke for kids)
Food: Linda's Larder.


TUESDAY JULY 24
v Harpenden Dolphins CC, 1.30pm
then
Giant Slip & Slide for kids and adults
Food: BBQ + Pimms & Prosecco Bar.


WEDNESDAY JULY 25
v Aldenham CC, 1.30pm
then Bucking Bronco Challenge for kids and adults
Food: Mexican food + Tequila Bar


THURSDAY JULY 26
v St. Albans West Indian CC, 1.30pm
then
Dominoes & Sounds of the Caribbean
then DJ JT late-night set
Food: Jerk Chicken, Curried Goat, etc. + Rum

FRIDAY JULY 27 - THE LIZ WOOD TRIBUTE MATCH
v LGCC Past Players XI, 2.00pm
then
post-match presentations & speech at 7.30pm
then
Disco with DJ Steve Wright into the night.
