CONTINUING with Phase 2 of our reopening plans, LGCC's bar - including its successful one-way system clubhouse access - will be open for members for a greater number of days during this week ahead.

Thanks to a mix of long-serving a newer bar staff volunteers, there'll be evening opening tomorrow (Tuesday August 11), Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

As mentioned, the one-way system via which members have accessed the bar area while maintaining social distancing has proved an effective way of providing reassurance to all those at The Green. This has also included the measure of blocking out the front-of-club patio and treating it as it were part of the clubhouse footprint.

Please use sanitisers by the door upon entry. We politely request that payment cards continue to be tendered - whenever possible, please - when purchasing drinks & snacks from the bar.

With picnic benches and loose chairs freely available, there are plenty of seating options spread across the grass area between the patio frontage and the cricket boundary edge. Toilet facilities continue to be provided by external access to the otherwise unused changing-rooms.

Talking of cricket, there's junior matches to enjoy on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
