We're now only posting new updates to this new page, so we can be more visible online to the local community.

Here's what's coming up for you...

THU JUN 20 - EURO 2024 LIVE AT LGCC: England v Denmark (5pm kick-off)
We'll be opening clubhouse doors and the bar from around 4.30pm this Thursday, June 20, so that members and friends can once again gather together to watch England's second Euro 2024 group game.

LGCC has been showing live all Euro 2024 matches which fall within its regular opening times, and will continue to do so for the duration of the tournament. The clubhouse will also open for any other England matches played before usual clubhouse opening times.

TUE JUN 25 & EVERY TUESDAY MORNING - TAI CHI (QIGONG) SESSIONS: 10.30am to 11.30am
Targeted especially at senior members, enjoy something quite different at LGCC, as local instructor Fiona Walsh leads you through two free taster sessions of Tai Chi (Qigong).

These are gentle, strengthening easy movements which are perfect for beginners. Even better, you can stand or sit - as preferred - while taking part.

There's no need to book. Simply come along on a Tuesday morning, with £5 payable upon arrival.

Give it a try. Many have and are already really enjoying it.

THU JUN 27 & THU JUL 11 (& every second & fourth Thursday of the month) - T@THEGREEN: Join Us For A Cuppa & A Chat - Free Community Event, All Welcome
LGCC's community-focused offering T@TheGreen continues into summer 2024...

As Tea@TheGreen continues into 2024, local people - some of whom may really appreciate the chance to spend time in the company of like-minded others - have been able to gather between 10.00am and 12noon twice a month for a cuppa and a chat.

Completely free to attend and personally hosted, everyone in the local community is welcome to pop by or stay for the whole two hours; whichever is most appealing.

Have a chat with other folk from around the village and surrounding areas, or simply sit back, relax and take in the calming view across The Green from our bright and airy clubhouse facility - while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and some light refreshments.

The bar is open for you to enjoy a drink while listening to a group of talented musicians keep some really traditional sounds alive - sure to put a smile on your face.

FRI JUL 5 - HEATH PARK T20 CUP FINAL
Next week, LGCC's 1st XI will play for a place in the Heath Park T20 Cup Final on Friday July 5, at Hemel Hempstead Town CC's ground.

Their semi-final tie is a week Friday, June 28, away to Watford Town CC in Woodside, Garston, set for a 6.00pm start.

Feel free to pop along and show our 1st XI your support as they bid to take on Hemel Town the following week in the final of a competition Green have won twice before in recent years.

SUN JUL 7 - MONTHLY GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ NIGHT
It's thinking caps on time every first Sunday of the calendar month - and we'll be ready to welcome you for the latest monthly quiz night on Sunday July 7.

The clubhouse usually opens between 7pm and 7.15pm, with the aim to start between 7.30pm and 7.45pm.

The quizzes are set and designed to be quite informal and not too heavyweight; so they should appeal to a broad range of people among the LGCC membership.

Quiz teams can be formed of any number you'd like to bring. The entry fee of £2 per person is divided between the top performers. New participants are always very welcome - either as a whole team, or as individuals joining others.
