SATURDAY JULY 6 gives all Leverstock Green Cricket Club members a chance to say a fond farewell to our top Tasmanian Alex King.

Today is his last game for LGCC as he leaves these shores for native lands after landing a top coaching role with Cricket Tasmania.

This is Alex's third summer at The Green, which means he's either had a great time the other two years or no other UK club will have him. We'll assume it's the former.

So tonight is a chance for right royal send-off for The King. Head Chef Linda will be providing the BBQ delights for all four teams as they return from Saturday Herts League action.

And of course there will be time for plenty of beers with AK47 long into the evening in the LGCC clubhouse...as well as some sing-a-long specials and other fun & games.
