FIRST XI captain Dave Tyson officially welcomed Marc 'Simmo' Simonds - the club's 2014 overseas player - to Leverstock Green CC after a first summer training session.

Nearly 30 senior cricketers were also in attendance to welcome Simmo to The Green in traditional fashion; cricket, followed by a few beers and some Quality deliveries.

Simmo, and non-playing friend Sam - who is here performing tourist duties - will be lodging with Greg Coulshed for the summer, so please make them both welcome when you see them at LGCC's clubhouse.

+ Senior cricket training will continue next and then every Tuesday, meet at LGCC 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
